Eye Tracking: Reading

  • Instructor(s): Iris Mulders Utrecht University
  • Available also as advanced: No

This workshop will introduce you to the eye-tracking methodology as it is currently used in reading research. In the first part, we will  discuss the basics of the methodology, Dos and Don’ts concerning stimulus design and analysis, and well-known eye-tracking measures in reading, like first fixation, regression path, total reading time etc: how do we compute these measures, and how are they interpreted? In the second part of the workshop, we will look at some data to lend more concreteness to these issues.
